Sarah created this animated short during her residence at the Media Studies masters program at The New School University (formerly The New School for Social Research) in NYC. “In Sleep” won best animated short at the New School’s Mixed Messages ’99 showcase.
Sarah can be seen as a pixelated figure on a computer screen, manipulated through menus and mouse clicks. She shot herself over greenscreen, performed the compositing primarily in After Effects, and edited the found sound audioscape in Protools.
